The Veterans Support Fund was set up by Idaho Statue, Section 65-209, Idaho Code, to subsidize projects to help veterans of the military of the United States. Veterans Support Funds are not given to help the essential requirements of individual veterans or their families. Virginia Military Survivors And Dependents Education Program

The VMSDEPprovides education benefits to spouses and children of military service members killed, missing in action, taken prisoner, or who became at least 90 percent disabled as a result of military service in an armed conflict. The purpose of VMSDEP is to provide undergraduate or other postsecondary education to eligible participants by providing a waiver of tuition and all required fees at any public institution of higher education or other public accredited postsecondary institution that grants a degree, diploma, or certificate in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The VA may approve Special Restorative Training, if needed, to help the dependents of Chapter 35 benefit recipients to overcome or lessen the effects of a physical or mental disability so you can work toward your educational or training goal. Veterans Affairs Dependent Assistance

Dependents of veterans who were permanently disabled or died in the line of duty are eligible for up to 45 months of education benefits or up to 81 months if they use the scholarship in conjunction with other programs. The scholarship is also available to children of deceased veterans who contracted a condition in the military or soldiers detained by foreign governments. Every year, the New York chapter of the American Logistics Association awards scholarships to children of select active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military.

How to qualify: Students must plan to enroll full-time in a two- or four-year college or university. Awards are only for undergraduates and require a 3.5 minimum GPA.
