Your unrestricted or restricted donation to the Paralyzed Veterans of America California Chapter provides opportunities for veterans every day to find success in life and to be reminded that the chair does not define who they are and what they are capable of doing. If you have a specific program or veteran you wish to support the donate link will allow you to do that as well.
Donate Your Time
Whether you are a member or not, if you would like to volunteer some of your valuable time to help make the chapter better, we greatly accept your generosity. Whatever your skill-set or passion is, we can probably put it to good use. Volunteering for something you enjoy doing makes volunteering even that much more rewarding and fun.

Once you decide you would like to donate some time to help improve lives of Veterans in Southern California, simply download Volunteer Application form and submit it back to the chapter.
We will get you an Volunteer ID number. If you want to work directly visiting with patients, we will guide you through the additional process with the VAs Voluntary Service office. Then get you scheduled to volunteer on a weekly or monthly basis.

The Iowa Paralyzed Veterans of American is a non-profit organization and is one of 33 chapters which represents our national organization, Paralyzed Veterans of America. Our membership is free and consists of veterans of the United States Armed Forces who have suffered a spinal cord injury or received a diagnosis of disease affecting the spinal cord.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Paralyzed veterans of American, please accept our most sincere appreciation for your interest in our organization. Iowa PVA relies solely on private donations and receives no governmental funding. All contributions are tax deductible*, as we are a 501 corporation. We are a veteran’s service organization charted by Congress.

Paralyzed Veterans Of America
Description
The Paralyzed Veterans of America is a voluntary, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of its members — all of whom have catastrophic paralysis caused by spinal cord injury or disease. Established in 1946, PVA has been in the forefront of improving health care, rehabilitation, and access to society for paralyzed veterans and all citizens with a disability. PVA’s Research and Education Program has funded a wide range of educational materials and videotapes for people with disabilities, their families, the general public, and professionals in the field of spinal cord dysfunction. PVA consists of 16,000 members and 54 chapters and also has 59 service offices nationwide that serve the needs of all veterans seeking Department of Veteran Affairs claims and benefits. PVA’s national advocacy program focuses on obtaining full Civil Rights for those with a disability. In addition, the organization funds the National Spinal Cord Hotline .

Improving The Lives Of Veterans With Disabilities
“Thank you for visiting the Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter website. PVAF was chartered by the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Dade County, Florida, on September 13, 1956. We achieved status as a non-profit corporation under the authorized statutes of the State of Florida.
As President, I am responsible for functional supervision and delegation of authority to create, maintain and improve PVAF’s programs to serve U.S. Veterans with disabilities resulting from spinal cord injuries or spinal cord dysfunction. We also serve as an advocate for non-veterans with severe disabilities, as many of these people have the same special needs as disabled veterans. Our programs are health care, legislation, advocacy, fundraising, research and education, and sports for the disabled. Our primary focus is health care for veterans who qualify for regular membership in PVAF. I believe this has always been an issue at the forefront and will remain so as the years pass.
As always, we encourage those that can make donations to PVAF to do so. We are proud of our role as advocates, and we want to continue this tradition since hospitalized veterans are limited in the roles they can play in our quest to honor them.
