Seasonal Beach Parking Pass

The Seasonal Beach Parking Pass is available for purchase from April to September, for use from May to September, and provides an easy and convenient parking option for parkers using Petrie Island beach. Seasonal passes for Petrie Island are now available for purchase for May 22nd-October 11th, 2021. Please contact parking.operations@ottawa.ca for instructions on how to purchase a pass. Seasonal passes will not be available for Mooneys Bay for the 2021 season.

Health Care Parking Permit

The health care parking permit provides a special privilege to persons requiring regular in-home health care in dwellings that have insufficient off-street parking, and where streets have time limit restrictions that are typically shorter than the duration of the in-home care visit. One permit will be issued per household, where the individual demonstrates that in-home care is required. Exceptions may apply under extreme circumstances, as outlined in the policy. The resident is responsible to retain and distribute the permit to the health care provider.

Overseas And Interstate Permits

Valid overseas and interstate parking permits may be used in Queensland and are equivalent to the Australian permit.

• Your permit must:- be used to park only in the parking spaces stated- be clearly displayed so the permit number and expiry date are visible from the outside of the vehicle- be displayed when you are getting in or out of the vehicle- be displayed in a vehicle up to and including 4.5t gross vehicle mass- not be damaged, altered or copied.
• The permit holder must be in the vehicle when the permit is being used, and must enter or exit the vehicle.
• Where the permit holder is the passenger in the vehicle and the driver drops the permit holder at the entrance to a building the driver is not eligible to then park the vehicle in a disability parking bay.
• You must follow your permit conditions or you may be fined.

Medical Providers Certification Of Disability

• A licensed physician, surgeon, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or certified nurse mid-wife that has knowledge of the disease and/or disability must complete and sign the Medical Providers Certification of Disability section of your application REG 195.
• A licensed chiropractor may certify the disability of a person who has lost the use of one or both lower extremities, or who has significant limitation in the use of their lower extremities.
• A licensed optometrist, physician, or surgeon who specializes in eye diseases may also complete and sign the Medical Providers Certification of Disability section.

Apply For Replace Or Renew A Mobility Parking Scheme Permit Online

The Mobility Parking Scheme provides parking concessions to people with mobility disability.

There are 2 types of permit issued by Transport for NSW :

• individual issued for 5 years if you have permanent disability
• temporary issued for up to 6 months if you have a temporary disability.

An Australian Disability Parking permit is also issued by TfNSW and must be displayed with your MPS permit to get parking concessions.
