What Kind Of Documentation Do I Need To Bring

Social Security Administration in Woodlawn to get upgrade

The documentation that you need to bring along varies depending on what it is you are trying to do. At a minimum, you will need some form of identification. This might be a driver’s license, U.S. Passport, or state-issued non-driver’s identification card. You might also need your current Social Security card and even your birth certificate. It is usually best to take everything you can even if you are not sure whether you need it. It is better to carry documentation that is not needed than to arrive without the proper documentation.

How Can I Check My Social Security Benefits

The easiest way to check your benefits is by logging into your My Social Security account online through www.SSA.gov. Once you get logged into your account, you can view benefit statements, benefit estimates, earnings history, and the status of any pending applications. That site should be your go-to for any information related to your Social Security account.

Defendant Alleged To Have Falsely Stated That Her Deceased Husband Was Still Alive Five Years After His Death

Baltimore, Maryland A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging Dinorah De Denis, age 72, of Frederick, Maryland, for the federal charges of theft of government property and social security fraud.

The indictment was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Erek L. Barron Special Agent in Charge Michael McGill of the Social Security Administration – Office of Inspector General, Philadelphia Field Division and Lead Investigator Pam Shank of the Office of Inspector General, Maryland Department of Human Services.

According to the two-count indictment, De Denis allegedly obtained two social security numbers and did not report to the Social Security Administration or the State of Maryland that she was receiving widows insurance benefits payments under another social security number. Allegedly, she received supplemental security income Medicaid and Food Supplement benefits through the State of Maryland under her first social security number when she applied for and was awarded SSA WIB under the other social security number. As a result, De Denis received $89,085 in benefits to which she was not entitled.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceedings.

Remarks At The Social Security Administration Headquarters In Baltimore

Ladies and gentlemen:

I am delighted to be here in Baltimore and to see on the platform a good many of my old and trusted friends.

Congressman Long came over here ahead of us, I think, because he wanted me to introduce him instead of Secretary Gardner. Congressman, we are delighted to have you and appreciate your meeting us here.

I am almost as happy to be in the neighborhood of Baltimore as 54,000 Oriole fans were last Sunday.

But contrary to some rumors, I am not here to scout Dave McNally for the Washington Senators.

I came here this morning to discuss the very brilliant record of the social security system and to offer to the Nation and to the world information about important proposals that your President will make concerning its future.

I want to pay a special tribute to one of the greatest Cabinet officers of all time-even if he is a Republican–John Gardner, the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare.

And Under Secretary Wilbur Cohen who has carried a very heavy load in this field through the years.

I want to pay a very special tribute to Commissioner Ball. When I commended him, I commended the thousands of dedicated, tireless social security employees who have served him diligently, capably, and well.

But others did not vote “aye.” Others voted to kill it through recommital and some voted against it even on the final roll call. That seems impossible to believe in this year 1966 but it was easy to believe in 1935 and 1936.
