If you dont want to disable or delete your Instagram account, you can always remove it from the app. However, if you want to continue using the Instagram app, youll have to add a different Instagram account or create a new one.

Heres how to remove an account from the Instagram app:

This method will work if youre only logged in to one Instagram account. If you manage multiple accounts, removing one of them is a little trickier due to Instagrams Single Login For Multiple Instagram Accounts feature. Luckily, we found a way around it.

Doing this will essentially reset all of your information and log you out of all of the accounts you were logged into. When you reinstall the app, you can simply log in using the accounts you wish to keep on the app and remove the ones you no longer want to use.

Why Was It Disabled

There are different reasons why Instagram disables an account. Refer to this page from Instagram Help Center if you want to review their terms in full detail.

But in a nutshell, you violate the terms if you use Instagram for:

• impersonating someone
• collecting artificial likes or follows

In my case, my account got disabled because I was using a third-party app to automate people to unfollow. In my defense, there are so many people on Instagram who follow you , and then later on, they will unfollow you!

So I decided to download an app so I can automatically track and mass unfollow those people who unfollowed me. So yeah, because I prefer not seeing them on my timeline if they are no longer following me! You get me?

Can People Unfollow Your Account When Its Temporarily Disabled

If you love your Instagram status, temporarily disabling your account can be a life-saving move. So you might wonder how to appeal if it doesnt accept your Instagram username. Well, I can clearly understand your situation, and Im really sorry to say that theres no solution to this case.

For some severe violations, Instagram deletes the disabled accounts from their database without giving an option to appeal too. Thats why when you input your account details in the form, its saying that they cannot find any record of the user ID that you entered.

Day : The Appeal Procedure

I couldnt count how many times I logged in but ended up with the same Thank you notification. Then exactly 24 hours had passed, my account is now DISABLED! Its horrifying, I know. The pop-up notification now says:

Your account has been disabled for violating our terms. Learn how you may be able to restore your account.

STEP1: When this appears, click Learn More and it will lead you to another page specifying what kind of violation you did.

In my case it says:

Some of the things we dont allow include artificially collecting likes, followers or shares, posting repetitive content

So this is why I got the impression that it has to do with the third-party app I was using to automate mass unfollow!

STEP 2: This is when we need to APPEAL to Instagram to get our account back. Well need to let them know that it was a mistake So click let us know and it will lead us to the appeal page!

The appeal page will ask you if your account is a business account, just choose NO. Then proceed filling up the form with your:

• email address, and

Remember, ALWAYS put that youre in the US

You can also access the same page on your computer. Lets call this page FORM 1.

STEP 3: In a few minutes, you will receive an email asking you to take your photo holding a piece of paper with a 5-digit code in it including your full name and your Instagram username. Here is the screenshot of the email I received.

So do it right away!

Why Did Instagram Permanently Disabled My Account

Instagram will send you an email a few hours after youve submitted the form.

Hence, you need to check your email periodically.

If you didnt receive an email from Instagram, make sure to check your junk/spam inbox.

The email states that you need to reply with a photo of yourself holding a handwritten code.

A code will be generated in the email.

Firstly, write down the code on a piece of paper.

Secondly, take a photo of yourself holding the handwritten code.

Lastly, reply to Instagrams email by attaching the photo.

Once youre on the form, you need to tap on I understand and wish to continue.

The form is for accounts that have been disabled due to intellectual property violations, sharing fraudulent content, or sharing misleading content.

Keep in mind that you may not receive a response if your account was disabled for any other reason.

The form contains multiple fields including Your name, Email address, Your Instagram username, and more.

Firstly, you need to provide your contact information.

Enter your name in the Your name field and your email address in the Email address field.

Please enter the same email address that youve used to create your Instagram account.

How To Remove The Temporary Block

Instagram is created for humans, not bots, so if you use certain services like Auto liker and Auto follower, then you could be in trouble.

Imagine how it would feel if more and more bots came into Instagram, and the number of actual human users decline. This would mean the downfall of Instagram as a whole, and therefore, to preserve its integrity Instagram uses these kinds of blocks.

The most probable cause for this block is using services like Auto liker and Auto follower. Here they will log into your account and send out likes to thousands of strangers online. You will have no control over it, and as per Instagrams policy, this is a complete violation of their terms of use. They will view your activity as spam activity and then temporarily block you suspecting you to be a bot.

Now theres no actual solution here other than waiting. Just wait for a day or two, and the ban will be lifted. However, you need to make some changes so that you are not banned again. For starters, once you are unblocked, dont go around liking and following people that appear in your feed. Instead, they have very limited activity on Instagram for a few days. What Can You Do If Your Instagram Was Deactivated

In the next section, I am sharing a timeline of all the actions I did to recover my disabled Instagram account in hope that it may give you more clarity on what steps you can take to appeal if your account was disabled too.

How To Get Back Permanently Blocked Account

Now the algorithm is not always free from errors as a single bug is enough to screw it all up. So sometimes, the algorithm ends up blocking innocent people accounts permanently for no reason at all. Instagram is well aware of the fact that this might happen from time to time, so they have provided an option of support to the permanently banned users.

So as a victim, you can appeal to Instagram about the ban. For that, try logging into your account, and there you will see an option to appeal to Instagram to remove your ban. Just follow the procedure that Instagram asks from you for the appeal and wait for 24 hours to 2 weeks to get a response.

In the meantime, you will get an option to modify your account if you feel that some changes might result in Instagram choosing to lift the ban. This doesnt mean that you should go around deleting all posts, stories, and so on, as Instagram probably has a way of viewing deleted content. Rather than deleting all, just delete the ones that you think could be the cause of the ban. It might make a case for you when Instagram reviews it and finds out that you have removed the violating content from your account.

Why Was My Instagram Account Disabled

There are many reasons why an Instagram account gets disabled, and often moderators will strike without any warning. You will know that your account has been disabled because a pop-up message will inform you the next time you try to log in.

Note that this is not the same as not having the correct password/username for your account . If this is the case, entering your email address or phone number and resetting your password should fix the issue in a few minutes, unless youve been hacked, which well get to in a moment.

Contact Facebook Support To Recover Account

One of our full-proof methods that will work. We have used this on a few clients that needed to get their business account repossessed by a former employee or someone that has hacked their account.

This method 95% of the time works for business accounts, but we have a method for personal accounts as well!

#1. First, you will need to have a Business Instagram account. If you do not have one, make a new account and switch it over to a business account. Be sure to make the newly made account alive, meaning put some pictures, make a simple bio, have a profile picture, etc.

#2. With your newly made Business IG Account you have to run an ad. The simplest way to do this is to select one of your posts and Promote it.

When doing so, it will ask you to connect your IG to your FB Account. You will need to do this, or you wont be able to run an ad. By connecting them, it automatically creates a FB Ad Manager account.

#3. When you have started promoting your ad, let it run for a couple of hours. Check back on your ad to make sure there are some statistics if there are then you are good to go.

Your ad needs to be running, if it is not, you will not have access to the Facebook Chat feature.
